What is Misshelved?

Misshelved is an essay newsletter run by award-winning bookseller Nicole Brinkley that dives deep into different elements of the book industry. Bookselling, social media, publishing: let’s talk about it.

Newsletters drop several times a year, whenever Nicole has something to say.

Who is Nicole Brinkley?

Nicole Brinkley was first spotted by a family of tourists in the Hudson River Valley in the late 20th century. Sightings remained rare and inconclusive until she began to build an elaborate nest behind the counter at Oblong Books in Rhinebeck, New York. She is believed to cause a cloud of malaise to form around anyone who claims that genre fiction is a lesser form of literature. Follow her on Instagram at @nebrinkley.
